"You couldn't ask to meet a nicer guy"
This is what everyone says about Officer Dan. However, Dan isn't what you'd call a 'real' policemen.
That's right. In fact, Dan isn't an officer at all. He doesn't even work in law enforcement. Three years ago Dan's uncle passed away, and Dan was asked to help clean out his attic before the house was sold at auction. When Dan found a police uniform carefully packed amongst several expensive fur coats, he knew he had found his calling.
Dan spends most of his time putting tickets on legally parked vehicles. They aren't real tickets, but thank you notes. He is so happy to see people follow the rules that he simply must thank them.

He spends most of his free time drawing tulips on hundreds of index cards, along with a message of thanks for parking legally. He then walks around and places them on the windshields of properly parked vehicles.
Dan loves his work, and wouldn't trade it for anything. |

Dan's Journal Day One

It was a long day today. I gave out all my tickets, and by the time I had to go to work, I was exhausted. My boss was displeased because I was late, and he didn't seem to grasp the importance of Operation Ticket. I hope that in the coming days I can show him the truth.
In the meantime, Pam Reynolds seems to be flirting with me ever more. I've always been a good boy, and I wish she would just stop.
