"Not worth my time."
Lyle doesn't have what you'd call a strong regard for what other people think. Not that this is necessarily a bad thing--Lyle just has his own opinion about how things should be done. Usually this means not at all.
This is not to say that Lyle is a slacker. Far from it, if you have a piece of computer hardware that needs to be fixed, Lyle is the guy you want on the job. But if the equipment, in Lyle's opinion, isn't worthy of repair, he simply won't fix it.
"Not worth my time," is his mantra. Hardware is his passion, but he will not devote his skill to a lost cause.
"Look. If your printer is more than two years old, and it's not working, it's time to replace it anyway."

This has led to numerous fallouts with management, but they know he is the best, and don't want to push too hard. Lyle learned early that he had the upper hand, and now there is nothing anyone can do to get control of him.
If management ever learns anything about technology, Lyle may be in trouble.
Looks like he's pretty much set for life. |

If I have to listen to one more person whine about how slow their Internet connection is, I'm gonna shut the whole thing down. What do they want me to do--stop my music downloads?
I don't think so.
